Is Native Translate free?
Yes. Try it without an account: the trial includes 60,000 characters. Sign in with an email code for 100,000 characters every day, free. Pro, for heavier reading, is coming soon.
Do I need an API key or have to pick a model?
No. There are no keys to paste and no model menus. The service picks a fast model for the text on your screen and a stronger one to refine long articles, and switches when a provider slows down.
What happens to the text I translate?
Only the text of pages you choose to translate is sent—never URLs, cookies, or form values—and page text stays out of our logs. Sensitive sites are off by default, and Local-only mode keeps everything on your device. Read the privacy policy.
Will it break the sites I use?
Translation happens inside the page’s own layout, so links and buttons keep working. If something looks off, press Alt + Shift + T to show the original and use “Report broken site” in the popup.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome on desktop. Local-only mode also needs Chrome 138 or later for Chrome’s built-in translator.
